Purple Haze CBD : History and Origins

Purple Haze is one of our new Genetics from the
Hydro Indoor
, obtained through the best selected phenotypes of Light CBD Hemp and the most scrupulous production, drying and storage methods.

She is considered the de facto queen of the Haze, a variety of
Cannabis sativa
native to the hills of the Bay Area, California, which originated in the 1970s.

Purple Haze is a sativa-type strain named after its genetic lineage and the 1967 classic Jimi Hendrix song.

This genetic is thought to be a distinct phenotype of the basic Haze strain, although some cannabis enthusiasts trace its lineage to a cross between Haze and an unspecified purple-flowering indica.

In any case, its tops offer a complex, berry-like flavor.

Terpenic Values

Purple Haze makes its appeal clear from the start, with medium to large flowers that maintain a spade shape, tapering from a broad base to a pointed tip.

True to their sativa heritage, these buds have a relatively loose structure, with their soft, fluffy leaves spiraling out from their central stems. The leaves themselves are a patchwork of moss green and the deep purple that gives this variety its name.

For what reason is it purple?

The purple color of Purple Haze comes from the predominant pigments in their leaves, called anthocyanins or anthocyanins, which are able to absorb light wavelengths except those inherent in the indigo spectrum. For this reason, the plant develops the purple color only at the end of the vegetative stage, so when it is about to flower.

To decrease chlorophyll and increase anthocyanins, the plant is grown at cooler temperatures to derive theIconic Purple color.

When properly cared for, Purple Haze flowers give off a moist, wet smell .
A second sniff reveals some sour and berry notes.
Meanwhile, grinding or harvesting these flowers releases an herbal aroma, familiar to Haze fans
Multiple Haze buds typically acquire vibrant lavender undertones that further justify this strain’s name.
Notably, despite its purple coloring and popular belief, this variety has no distinguishable grape flavors; this is because the pigments that determine its color do not have a corresponding effect on its taste.

Growing Method of Purple Haze CBD

Seeds of true Purple Haze can be difficult to find for sale online.
A safer option is to take clippings from existing plants of the strain in order to foster “clones.”

Italian cultivation involves elongated flowering cycles to draw the highest possible percentage of CBD. The plant blooms over 8 to 9 weeks, when it begins to acquire its typical vibrant violet lavender hues, with some obvious orange pistils adding a strong visual contrast.

Our plants obviously boast the absence of GMOs and are cared for in such a way as to recreate to the smallest detail the natural and ideal environment to stimulate the growth of this beautiful variety.

Its origins are due to the crossing of two genetics such as Jack’s Cleaner 2 and Panama Haze. Purple haze marijuana has a very strong and intense flavor and the aftertaste turns out to be very distinctive. So enveloping that it is associated by similarity with a classic Cheese family genetic.

The Hydro Indoor cultivation of our Purple Haze is a point that works in its favor. This in fact takes place in controlled environments and with methodologies specifically designed for us.
